How to make modular kitchen

Plan well in advance before you need a new or redo an existing modular kitchen. If it’s an under construction house then you have options of doing your kitchen to your budget and take your time. But If it’s already an existing kitchen then you will have to answer yourself 3 things :

When and how can you bear the inconvenience of removing old fixtures to install new ?
Removal of old fixtures and disposing them can be very much time-consuming and expense may go up more than you have expected. So bear in mind to clean up the old and install the new simultaneously to get over the inconvenience at one go.
Who will do the other related work like plumbing, civil, electrical work if any?
Generally many of the kitchen makers don’t do civil and plumbing work except for the counter top and the back splash tiles. You need to find people to do things like plumbing work, electrical fittings, flooring, civil works etc. Have a thorough discussion with all of them at once so that they can work as a team and give you the much-needed relief. Also see to it that if cooking needs to be stopped then for how many days you can manage the installation work to go on.
Estimate your budget on the higher side. Are you prepared for it?
Answer to this question is your net disposable income and how much you want to spend on a kitchen. It may not be a good idea to make an expensive kitchen but its a worse idea to spend little and redo your kitchen again at a higher cost.
Step 2 : Designing modular kitchen
While you are planning for kitchen you may also do the designing with the help of an expert like an architect or an interior designer. Most of the branded kitchens have good quality kitchen interior designers who do it perfectly to suit your requirement. However if you are finding it costly and going for a carpenter made kitchen then you can do it yourself. Many modular kitchen shops charge a nominal fee of Rs.750-1000 for giving design and quote. That can really be handy even if you are not going to buy kitchen from them.
Step 3:  Making your Kitchen ready for installation
Make up your mind to go for kitchen and understand the design, components etc. The lead time for delivery of kitchen material may vary from 15 days to 2 months based upon your kitchens configuration and required components. All those required things mentioned in step 1 are to be done at right time i.e. not very early and definitely not late. Starting the civil work early means you have to arrange for a temporary kitchen elsewhere and you can’t use the kitchen even after completion of all other works unless the modular kitchen material is installed. Doing it late will break the sequence of work and the delivered material will lie uninstalled there and will make the area messed up.
